Fact-Checking Policy

People use The POP Design to plan work that stays on their ceiling for years, so we check what we publish. This page explains our standards.

What we check

  • Materials and methods. Information on POP, gypsum board and PVC ceilings, GI channel frames, curing and painting is checked against manufacturer installation guides and standard site practice.
  • Safety points. Advice such as hanging fans and chandeliers from the concrete slab, keeping wires in conduits and using moisture-resistant materials in wet areas is reviewed on every page where it applies.
  • Sizes and heights. Room sizes and drop depths are typical guides. They are not engineering drawings, and your contractor should confirm them on site.
  • Words people use. Local terms such as plus minus, jhumar, chhat and lobby are explained the way homeowners use them.

What we do not publish

  • Rupee prices or per square foot rates, because they differ by city and change often.
  • Paid rankings of brands or contractors presented as advice.

Images

Design images are original reference illustrations made for this site. Your finished ceiling will depend on room height, beams, lights and the contractor’s skill.

Independence

Advertisers do not decide what we write. Paid placements are always labelled, as explained on our advertising page.
